D.W. Griffith's first sound film — restored in HD from MoMA's 35mm print. Screenplay by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Stephen Vincent Benét. This sweeping 1930 biopic traces the full arc of Abraham Lincoln's life: his frontier youth, his early romance and loss, his rise as a lawyer and debater, his presidency, and his assassination. A landmark of early Hollywood sound cinema. Free with ads.
